2023 overview
The UN’s recognition of the Social & Solidarity Economy (SSE) as a means of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals gave more importance and visibility to game changers at the international level, and reminded us of how essential is the cooperation towards a fairer and more sustainable socio-economic model.
Over the last twelve months, we’ve been lucky enough to support 374 organisations in France and abroad, working on a wide range of issues: empowerment and women’s rights, environment and circular economy, food, solidarity, etc.
We reached out to organisations in 29 countries, increasing our international activities.
In 2023, we continued collaborations and started new ones with various players in the impact ecosystem (foundations, financial institutions, etc.) to co-design new projects to support organisations on their scaling challenges, to share views and experiences during national and international events such as the Global Social Economy Forum (GSEF), the Social Economy World Forum (SEWF), BIG, VivaTech and Emerging Valley.
We are convinced that women can play a crucial and transformative role within our societies, that is why we have been heavily involved with organisations run by women or working for their rights. We provided support to +20 organisations on an individual level and contributed to the 2023 all-female Social & Inclusive Business Camp (SIBC) edition.
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all the organisations that have placed their trust in us in 2023, as well as the partners with whom we have worked.
To us, collaboration is the key to achieving positive change for a better future therefore we are proud to be part of networks such as Euclid Network (a European network of organisations supporting social entrepreneurs), Catalyst 2030 (a global movement committed to advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals), Mouvement Impact France and, soon, the GSEF which promotes the Social & Solidarity Economy and the sharing of sustainable practices around the world.
We look forward to continuing this adventure with you all throughout 2024.
Our 2024 commitments
The year 2024 will be very special to us as ScaleChanger will be celebrating 10 years of existence in the service of positive-impact organisations and their development. We are determined to pursue our support in the scaling of social innovations in France and abroad, while continuing advocating for these initiatives so that they can get greater recognition, support and funding, as these innovations are a response to today and tomorrow’s challenges.
With a decade of action in +25 countries, we are also continuing our international activities with the formalisation of our presence in a new country in 2024.
Finally, because the world is evolving and certain issues are becoming more and more pressing, we are strengthening our range of expertise to help organisations deal with specific issues such as financial management, the business model to scale up, preparing for fund-raising, impact assessment, etc.
In 2024, let’s continue together to support initiatives that are shaping a more sustainable and equitable world, and let’s do it together!
